Multiplication tricks I

hello, In this post we are going to discuss about the short tricks of the Multiplication 
I think all of u know know the multiplication. so we will discuss the short and tricky method to calculate the multiplication. We follow the different tricks in different situation. Some of the most common tricks given below which helps to do fast calculation in the questions.


Trick 1:  ever-green trick

              (i) Two digit numbers multiplication :
                 
                   example :  
                                       59 × 74 = ?  or    5  9
                                                                × 7  4              
                                                                          

                                   Sol. :
                                            Step 1:  First multiply right digits. 

 

                                                          9 × 4 = 36 = (3 carry)  (6)

                                           Step 2:  Multiplication of cross digits and add it as following. And add                                                               carry if it is.

                                                      ( 7 × 9 ) + ( 4 × 5 ) = 63 +20 =83 

                                                                             83 + 3 = 86 = (8 carry )  (66)

                                              

                                            Step 3:  Multiply left digit and add carry if it is.

                        

                                                               5 × 7 = 35
                                                                       35 + 8 = 43 (66) = (4366)

                                                      Answer is : 4366

             (ii) Three digit numbers multiplication :
                     
                  example : 
                                         251 × 432 = ?      or      2  5  1
                                                                            × 4  3  2 
                                                                                         

                                Sol. :
                                         Step 1:  First multiply right digits. 

                                                        1 × 2  = 2 = (No carry) ( 2 )

                                           Step 2:  Multiplication of cross digits in following manner and add it as                                                               following. And add carry if it is.

                                                             ( 3 × 1 ) + ( 2 × 5 ) =  3 + 10 = 13 

                                                                                                 (1 carry )  (32)

                                                Step 3:  Multiplication of cross digits and middle digits in following                                                                            manner and add it as following. And add carry if it is.

                                                        ( 4 × 1 ) + ( 2 × 2 ) + ( 5 × 3 ) =  4 + 4 + 15  =  23

                                                                                                         20 + 1 = 24  = 2 carry (432)

                                            Step 4:  Multiplication of cross digits in following manner and add it as                                                              following. And add carry if it is.

                                                            ( 4 × 5 ) + ( 3 × 2 ) =  20 + 6 = 26 

                                                                                            26 + 2 = 28  = 2 carry (8432) 

                                               Step 5:  Multiply left digit and add carry if it is.

                                                               4 × 2  = 8     

                                                                          8 + 2 =10  (108432)

                                                  Answer is : 108432

Trick 2:   when the numbers are near about "100" .    

                             

                   Concept :
                                    Step 1:  First find how much the greater (+) or lesser (-) than the 100.
                                 
                                    Step 2:  Addition  (say X)  /  Multiplication (say Y)

                                    Step 3:  use formula 
                                                 Answer = [100 + (X)] × 100  + (Y)

                 
                    example 1:  when both numbers are lesser than '100'.

                                          92 × 93  = ?

                                       Sol. :

                                           Answer is : 8556

                    example 2:  when both numbers are greater than '100'.

                                          106 × 108  = ?
                                 
                                       Sol. :

                            
                                          Answer is : 11448

                    example 3:  when one number is  greater and one number is lesser than '100'.

                                           105 × 94  = ?
                                           
                                        Sol. :

                            Answer is : 9870
                                           
Trick 3:  (Same and Ten Rule)  when the unit place digit sum is 10 and the 10th place digit                                                                     is same. 

                  Concept :
                                   [ Answer = (same digit) × (same digit + 1) / multiplication of unit place digit ]

                 example 1:
                                         43 × 47 = ?

                                   Sol. :
                                                     43 × 47 
                          4 × (4 + 1) / 3 × 7
                                  4 × 5  /  21
                                       20 /  21

                    Answer is : 2021

                 example 2:
                                        104 × 106 = ?

                                   Sol. :
                                                       104 × 106 
                          10 × (10 + 1) / 4 × 6
                                  10 × 11 /  24
                                       110 /  24


                    Answer is : 11024
Trick 4:  (Ten and same Rule)  when the 10th place digit sum is 10 and the unit place digit                                                                    is same. 

             Concept :
                             [ Answer = (multiplication of 10th place digit + same digit) / multiplication of same digit ]

                  example 1:
                                         83 × 23 = ?  

                                   Sol. :                             
                                                       83 × 23 
                          (8 × 2) + 3 / 3 × 3
                                16 × 3  /  9 
                                       19 /  09

                    Answer is : 1909
