What is BODMAS Rule?
BODMAS rule defines the correct
sequence in which operations are to be performed in a given mathematical
expression to find its value
To solve problem
on simplification Please follow "VBODMAS" Rule
1.
V– Vinculum or Bar (͞x)
2.
B– Bracket (), {}, [ ] .
3.
O– Of (is the alphabetical form of multiplication)
4.
D– Division (÷)
5.
M– Multiplication (x)
6.
A– Addition (+)
7.
S– Subtraction (-)
When
you solve any mathematical equation, remember the VBODMAS rule and follow it religiously.
Example
1.
48 ÷ 2 of 12 + {7- (2 + 4)} + [3 +
17 × (2 + 5)] = ?
Sol.
48 ÷ 2 of 12 + {7- (2 + 4)} + [3 + 17 × (2 + 5)]
(solve Brackets ‘( )’)
= 48 ÷ 2 of 12 + {7- 6} + [3 +
17 × 7] (solve Brackets ‘{ }’ and ‘[
]’)
= 48 ÷ 2 of 12 + 1 + 122 (solve ‘of’)
= 48 ÷ 24 + 1 + 122 (solve ‘÷’)
= 2 + 1 + 122 (solve ‘+’)
= 125
Answer is : 125
Example
2.
12 ÷ 4 of 3 + [4 × 8
÷ 2] = ?
Sol.
12 ÷ 4 of 3 + [4 × 8
÷ 2]
= 12 ÷ 4 of 3 + 16
= 12 ÷ 12 + 16
= 1 + 16
= 17
Answer is : 17
Example
3.
24 + (13 - 5) of 4 – {45 ÷ (17 -
2)} = ?
Sol.
24 + (13 - 5) of 4 – {45 ÷ (17 -
2)}
= 24 + 8 of 4 – {45 ÷
15}
= 24 + 8 of 4 – 3
= 24 +2 – 3
= 23
Answer is : 23

4.
2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 of 2 = ?
Sol.
2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 of

= 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 4
Answer is : 1/16
